The Pack is the youngest Section in our Group. It has cubs of between 8 and 11 years old. Because of the small age of the members, the pack is run based on The Jungle Book, a novel by Rudyard Kipling.

The section leader is therefore called the Akela, who in the novel was the wolf's leader. Baloo, Baghera and Rascha were other jungle animals who helped in the up-bringing of Mowgli, a lost man cub. The members of the pack are the wolf cubs, learning the meaning of team work, fun and duty within their group.

After getting to know this story and the basic story of the founder, the cub will then become a member of the Scout Association. This will be done in the Investiture Ceremony with the cub promising to obey the Cub Scout Law. With help from our dedicated leaders, the pack tries to achieve the Bronze, Silver and Gold Arrows and other personal interest badges. All these lead to competition between each member because at the end of the year the best cub scout is given a trophy.

The Pack is then divided in Sixes, a group of 6 members each with its leader, the sixer. The senior sixer will then be in charge of all sixes and will serve as assistant to the Akela and his assistants. This helps to build a stronger character in the older cubs in preparation for their next section, the Troop.

Our Pack meets every Wednesday at 18:30 for the meetings under the leadership of George Mangion, Naomi Attard (Baghera), Victoria and Joana. These are jammed packed with badge work, slide shows, learning and lots of games. The cubs also go on outdoor activities to keep in contact with nature. Hikes, camping, sport days and star observation are only a few activities our cubs has attended to recently.
